GE Aerospace, US Aerospace Workforce Manufacturing Skills Program

NEW multi-year $30 million workforce skills program from the GE Aerospace Foundation

Fulfilling GE Aerospace's purpose to invent the future of flight, lift people up, and bring them home safely requires workers with the cutting-edge skills ready to bring our visions to life.

That is why I was proud to announce a new multi-year $30 million workforce skills program from the GE Aerospace Foundation designed to help meet the growing need for advanced manufacturing workers nationwide at an event with Axios this morning. Held at our Customer Technical Education Center, where we teach thousands of GE Aerospace employees and our customers how to service our engines each year, I was also excited to announce $250K for Cincinnati State's Aviation Maintenance Technician program right here in our community, part of an additional $2.5 million in donations supporting local workforce grants this year.

Special thanks to our partners at Delta Air LinesOhio Department of Education and WorkforceCincinnati State Technical and Community CollegeCincinnati Chamber Of Commerce, and State Senator Adam Mathews, who joined the discussion and who each play a role in supporting tomorrow’s workforce.

Inside GE Aerospace, we start training with FLIGHT DECK, our proprietary lean model, to give our employees a common set of tools to approach challenges and the mindset they need for success. Since becoming a standalone company, we have also invested in 20+ workforce programs that have supported nearly 10,000 workers. Through our newest commitment, we plan to train another 10,000 future aerospace workers by 2030.

All efforts that support our commitment to revitalizing U.S. manufacturing and ensuring a strong future of flight.
