As brought to life in Catherine Grace Katz’s “The Daughters of Yalta,” Ukraine has long occupied the global crossroads of war and peace. From the ravages of World War II to the outbreak of the most recent European conflict, Ukraine remains the site of bloody battles and bitter struggles over freedom and sovereignty. A distinguished panel of Miami scholars explore the history and current state of Russia-Ukraine relations, inviting public discussion and a clearer understanding of the issues, history, and human costs of war in Ukraine.
