Hamilton, Ohio is your destination for 2024 Total Solar Eclipse Weekend activities!
 

Witnessing a total solar eclipse is a bucket list item!  Hamilton, Ohio is located within the path of totality of the eclipse. Visiting our city will allow you to check off this rare and remarkable experience with nearly 2 minutes of totality! Gather with fellow solar eclipse watchers and create memories that will last a lifetime. The partial eclipse will start around 1:52 p.m. with the maximum total solar eclipse at 3:08 p.m.

Hamilton, Ohio will be offering a variety of fun family-friendly events during the total solar eclipse weekend including:

Viewing Parties:  There will be numerous Solar Eclipse viewing parties and promotions at local businesses. Visit the center hub of activity at Marcum Park with additional viewing, food trucks and activities at Potter's Park Golf Course and Jefferson Park. These events will be provided through partnerships with Hamilton Parks Conservancy and 17Strong.

Admission is free! Bring lawn chairs and blankets. 

All city parks will be open. We encourage residents to walk to the nearest park and enjoy the afternoon with friends and family. You will be creating memories that will last a lifetime. 

Shopping for Fun Eclipse-Themed Merchandise:  Local businesses will be offering eclipse-themed commemorative souvenirs including T-shirts, candles, jewelry, stickers, and magnets to commemorate your experience! Many businesses will be open for extended hours over the weekend and day of the total solar eclipse.

Grab and Go Food and Refreshments:  There will be a variety of restaurants with Grab & Go options that will include charcuterie and picnic boxes, themed desserts, and snacks. Enjoy a wide variety of specialty eclipse cocktails and drinks to enjoy in our DORA.
